A photograph stops time. A portrait savors it.

I've been keeping myself pretty busy these days working through commissions.  Unfortunately, I can't share most of them because they are Christmas gifts, and I don't want to spill the beans for anyone. :)  But I can share some exciting news with you.

First.... I've finally finished setting up my studio/guest room.  I've set up studio spaces in my house before, but they have always turned into clutter-catchers.  This is the first stage in my life that I really need a space to put my art things so no two year old can practice her artistic endeavors with them.  I hope it stays as nice as it is right now.  I really love it and I'm excited to have a space that's just for drawing.

My project board is filled with commissions, but photos have been blurred to protect those who may want to sneak a peek on their Christmas gifts ;)

And, I still have a guest room area set up for friends who would like to stop by.  Maybe I still need to declutter a bit before they come...

I think my favorite thing about my studio is this window.  My house was built in 1857 and is full of "character" and random windows in between rooms...a benefit of many additions put on through the years.  Now I can sit and work at my table and watch my own little budding artist in her "studio."

And secondly...

I've listed my work on etsy!

You can check out my shop HERE.

I hope everyone is having a safe and happy fall.  Can you believe there are only 7 more shopping weeks until Christmas?!?!  If you're still looking for a one-of-a-kind gift for someone you love, I' would be honored to help you out and add your special project to my board!  :)
